MVP has gotten a bad name, over time. For the business, it sounds so restrictive - and like larger value is a long time in coming. For product thinkers, it’s because the business never gets on board with a true minimum. Re-embrace the idea of starting with the smallest increment of value, call it “Release One”, and get it out the door. Examples: An MVP of your experience might include only a home page, light navigation and basic search. 

Iterate & Scale: Build momentum with expanding user and business value.

Here is where you build a roadmap that provides both guidance and flexibility. Create a plan to add features and content or expand audiences and regions. Yet your roadmap provides only baseline guidance and expectations. Leverage analytics insights, persistent testing and user feedback determine what the most valuable additions, edits or expansions might be. 

This is the part of the entire process where true product model comes to life; your teams should be future-ready and resilient enough to respond to changing market conditions, to reprioritize and deploy what will delight, engage, or solve user problems. 

Examples: Instead of chasing sort and filter for your search bar, invest in AI search for more accurate results.
